Corrections Policy

We aim to get things right the first time. When we don’t, we correct our reporting quickly and transparently.

How to report an error

If you believe something we published is wrong — a fact, a name, a number, a translation — email us at [email protected] with a link to the article and a short description of the problem. We review every report.

How we correct

Factual errors: We correct the text and add a note at the bottom of the article stating what was changed and when.
Minor issues such as typos or formatting that do not change the meaning are fixed without a note.
Serious errors that change the substance of a story are corrected prominently, and where appropriate we explain how the error happened.

Updates are not corrections

News develops. When we add new information to a developing story, we mark the article as updated with a timestamp. An update note is not a correction — corrections are always labelled as such.

This policy is part of our Editorial Standards.
